Myrna Jeanne Kreiger, 74, Gladstone, Michigan, died July 19, 2005, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, Michigan, after a 17 month battle with cancer.

She was born March 18, 1931 in Bonaparte, the third of five daughters to George L. and Dorothy I. Warner Simmons.

She grew up in the Bonaparte area where she graduated from high school with the class of 1949. Following graduation from high school she attended Iowa State University, graduating with a degree in Dietetics.

On September 13, 1951, she married Robert C. Morrow and lived for many years in Sturgis, Michigan, where they bought and ran a farm on Big Hill Road. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1993.

She married Everett Kreiger on September 5, 1980. They lived in New Castle, Colorado, until moving to Gladstone in 2001 to retire near family.

She worked as a dietician in various hospitals in Iowa, Michigan and Colorado. She served on many hospital safety committees.

She was preceded in death by both parents.
Survivors include her husband, Everett; two sons, William Morrow and his wife Christine of Gladstone and Robert S. Morrow and his wife Shanda of Monroe, Michigan; one daughter, Ann Hayes and her husband Mike of Bemidji, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Kaness and her husband Kenneth of Cedar Rapids, Elizabeth Calvert of Elgin, Illinois, Peggy Heald and her husband Glenn of Auxvasse, Missouri and Frances Jolliffe and her husband Al of Waukee.

Visitation was Tuesday, July 26, at Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home in Gladstone with services following with Rev. Joanne Bartelt officiating. Burial will be at a later date with services in Bonaparte.
