STARK, STRAIGHT, LAMB

Nancy Straight was born in Virginia September 15, 1841, and departed this life at her home in Bonaparte June 29, 1924, being 83 years, 8 months and 14 days of age. In 1856 the family moved to Van Buren county which has been her home ever since.

On January 21, 1864, she was united in marriage to John P. Stark, who preceded her in death in July 1916.

The only near relative she has to mourn their loss are one brother, Eathuen Straight, of Henry county, Mo and one step daughter, Mrs. Lamb and three step-grandsons, residing at Clarinda, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Lamb of Birmingham, Iowa, and a host of friends who will miss Aunt Nan.

She was a consistent Christian most all her life and at the time of her death was a member of the M. E. Church.

Although she had no children of her own she was of a motherly turn and took a great interest in others.

Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Bonaparte on Monday afternoon, Rev. Coppoc officiating. Interment in the Bonaparte cemetery.
