Harvey Brewster, well known Van Buren county citizen, died about three o'clock Monday morning at
Jefferson county hospital where he had been taken Sunday morning after an illness of about a week.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Keosauqua on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Orf, assisted by a former pastor, Rev. Hayes of Keokuk. Burial in Center Chapel
cemetery.

His age was 66 years. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardin Brewster, and is survived by his wife,
Addie Chipman Brewster; five brothers, Oscar of Bonaparte, Clyde of Mt. Sterling, Arthur of Fairfield, Orrin of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Howard of Boulder, Colo.; and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Finn of Mt. Pleasant

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Otto, and one sister, Mrs. Lucy Harryman.

For 27 years he represented the Standard Oil Co., as agent in Keosauqua territory, having retired from this work about two years ago.

He was tyler of the Keosauqua chapter of Royal Arch Masons and the local commandery of Knights
Templar, was also worthy patron of the O.E.S. at the time of his death and was a member of the
Modern Woodmen of America and the Royal Neighbors.

The Brewster homestead where his father was well known for years as a farmer and dealer in livestock is on highway No. 2 about four miles southeast of Keosauqua.
