George Spence died Saturday morning, April 7, 1917 at his home in Bonaparte after an illness of several months with diabetes. He was born Oct. 7, 1858.

Funeral services were held at the late home on Monday afternoon with Rev. D. Mason officiating.

Mr. Spence leaves a wife and one adopted son, George.

He was employed for several years in the Meek woolen mills but in recent years has been engaged in gardening, weaving, etc. He was an honorable and respected citizen whose many friends will regret to hear of his decease.
