Robert E. Meek passed away Friday night, November 2, about 10:30 at his home in Spearman, Texas, of a heart attack. He was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, February 24, 1864, a son of Joseph and Mary King Meek, and spent most of his life in Bonaparte vicinity. He was united in marriage with Harriet Wood of Miller, Nebr., on May 21, 1890.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. H. C. Page of Keokuk, Iowa, Mrs. H. B. Embach of Phoenix, Arizona, and Miss Hazel Meek of Monterey Park, Calif., also one son, Lt. Norris R. Meek who is enroute home from Okinawa; and two sisters, Miss Margaret Meek of Keokuk and Mrs. E. B. Cresap of Fort Madison. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Lorena Underwood.

Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Page of Keokuk and Mrs. E. B. Cresap of Fort Madison have gone to Spearman to attend the funeral. Burial will be at Spearman.
