Matilda Corwin was born at Farmington, Iowa, April 28, 1848, and died at Bonaparte February 25, 1896, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 27 days.
She was married to John McDaniel January 14, 1875, and to them were born five children, two of whom are in the better land. She was a kind and affectionate wife and a loving mother. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, three daughters, a father, three sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of the M. E. church about seven years. She lived to be ready for the end, and the friends are not left without hope of a reunion in heaven.
Deceased had been a constant sufferer for the past few years of her life, and her transition may be justly considered a merciful release from pain.
The funeral, which was largely attended, occurred from the Presbyterian church in Bonaparte, Thursday afternoon, February 27, 1896, conducted by Rev. Weese, of Bentonsport.
