Everett Lloyd “Ching” Miller, 78, of Bonaparte died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, April 3, 1983 at his home in Bonaparte.

Mr. Miller was born March 8, 1905 in Bonaparte. A retired employee of the Northwestern Railroad, he returned to Bonaparte in 1967.

He married Carolyn Cahbill in Chicago in 1940. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by a sister, Ann Stevens Baker of Ottumwa.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son and four brothers. His parents were Samuel and Carrie Thomas Miller.

The body was donated to University Hospitals, Iowa City. The Hofbauer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A commital service will be held later at the Bonaparte cemeter.
