Mrs. Emma Sophia Lamborn, 78, passed away Saturday, June 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the Farmington Rest Home after an extended illness. She had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Services were held Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Baptist church, with the Rev. Eugene Shipp officiating. Burial was in Greenglade cemetery.
Mrs. Lamborn was born April 18, 1885, in Green Island, IA., the daughter of Henry and Lena Mangler. She married William H. Lamborn in 1904 in Green Island and they moved to Farmington in 1914.
She was a member of the First Baptist church in Farmington.
Surviving are four sons, Arlet, Wilbert, Samuel and Kenneth, all of Farmington; three brothers, Henry Brickman of California; Jack Brickman of Des Moines, and William Brickman of Walker, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Peterson, Idaho; Mrs. Mary Nagel, Mason City, and Mrs. Louise Bauer and Mrs. Rose Goetsche, Holstein, Ia.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1944, a daughter Winifred, in infancy, two brothers, George and Fred and a sister, Ida.
Those attending the services from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. August Goettache, Holstein, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brickman, Des Moines, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wayne Brickman, Des Moines, Ia.; Rev. and Mrs. Jack Cove, Iowa Falls, Iowa; Will Brickman, Walker, Iowa; and Mrs. James Matthews, Walker, Iowa.
