Mrs. Mary Carr Rigler, 87, of Farmington, Iowa, died at 6:15 P.M. Wednesday, May 17, 1962 in the Hospitality House in Fort Madison after a long illness.

Born September 25, 1879 in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of James and Ellen Carr, she was married to George Rigler, June 16, 1909 in St. Boniface Church in Farmington. He preceded her in death July 18, 1954. She lived most of her life in the Bonaparte and Farmington communities. Mr. And Mrs. Rigler lived for many years northwest of Bonaparte near the Bentonsport-Stockport Y.

Her only survivors are nieces and nephews, two of whom are Mrs. George King and Mrs. A. T. Peterschmidt of Fort Madison.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Friday, May 19 in St. Boniface church in Farmington, with Rev. Anthony Geerts officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery. Funeral services were in charge of the Nieters Chapel in Fort Madison where the rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
