Mrs. Katherine M. Watts, 76, of Farmington, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 1967 at 4:45 p.m. in Graham Hospital, Keokuk. She had been ill six weeks but death was sudden.

She was born Aug. 18, 1891, at Mt. Sterling, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Josephine Simmons Muntz.

On Nov. 3, 1912 at Farmington, she married Alden “Pete” Watts. He died Oct. 1, 1960
She lived on a farm near Bonaparte before moving to Farmington.

She was a member of the Methodist church, Legion Auxiliary in Bonaparte and was a Gold Star mother.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Jake (Beatrice) Jairl, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Faye Randolph of Keokuk; Mrs. Charles (Freida) Riney of Bonaparte; 4 brothers, Frank Muntz, Robert Muntz, Earl Muntz, all of Farmington, and Elmer Muntz of Ft. Madison; 3 sisters, Mrs. Carrie Von Seggen, Mrs. Fern Wells, both of Farmington, and Mrs. Vera Gee of Davenport; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, and 2 sisters.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m., in the Methodist church in Farmington with the Rev. Harold Schirm officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
