Pearl Lucina Hagelstange, 71, of Bonaparte, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1961, 1:15 p.m., at her home. Her death was very sudden.

She was born Aug. 9, 1890, near Bonaparte to Archie and Emily Miller Robbins. She lived her entire life at Bonaparte and was a housewife.

She was married to Benjamin F. Downey, May 15, 1908 at Hillsboro. She later married Harry Hagelstange, Oct. 19, 1933, who survives.

She is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Kriess, Bonaparte; three sons, Roy C. Downey, Bonaparte; B. Cecil Downey, Fairfield, and Charles Hall Downey, Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Cora Davis, Bonaparte, and one brother, Sam Robbins, Bonaparte; 11 grandchldren, 15 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Earl; one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m., at the Bonaparte Baptist church with the Rev. Ellsworth Walker, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial at Bonaparte cemetery.

The body will be at the Carl Wilson home, Bonaparte, Saturday morning and will be taken to the Baptist church at noon Sunday to lie in state.
