AN OBITUARY SKETCH.
OF MRS. S. H. SHARP.

Ellen, daughter of Charles and Valerie Keith was born in Bonaparte, Iowa, July 15, 1848, and grew to womanhood in the place of her nativity and was married to John W. Ziegenfus in December, 1866. To their union three children were born, one daughter and two sons, the daughter dying in infancy.

During their married life they resided for some time in Neenah, Wisconsin, and in North Bend, Nebraska. Her husband died in Lisbon, Iowa, in 1876.

Her second marriage was with Samuel H. Sharp in Eldon, Iowa, August 10, 1885 and to their union two children were born, one son and one daughter.

She leaves to mourn for her, the husband; three sons, John W. Ziegenfus of St. Louis, Harry D. Ziegenfus and Samuel Edward Sharp; one daughter, Miss Janie, of Bonaparte; one stepson, James H. Sharp of Chicago; two half-brothers, Robert N. Cresap and Daniel H. Cresap of Bonaparte; and one brother, William Keith, who resides in the west.

She died at the home in Bonaparte December 29, 1904, ages 56 years, 5 months and 14 days.

The funeral took place at the home on Sunday, January 1, 1905, Rev. G. W. Barber of Unionville, Iowa, conducting the services. The remains were buried in the Bonaparte cemetery.

Rev. Barber has been a lifelong friend of the deceased and gave tribute to her deeds of kindness and her great affection for her family and friends.
