DIED IN THE BLIZZARD.
ISAAC CRAWFORD.

Isaac Crawford was born in Rockingham county, Virginia, Oct. 27, 1819, and died Dec. 27, 1904, in Van Buren county, Iowa, aged 85 years and two months. While yet a young man he came to Ohio where he was married and lived the greater part of his life. In October, 1901 he came to this county to visit his sister, Mrs. Nancy Lewis and has made this his home until the time of his death.

He leaves three children, one son and two daughters, who live in Ohio, and one sister, Mrs. Nancy Lewis of Bentonsport, Iowa, and one brother, Daniel, of Uniontown, Penn., his wife and one child having preceded him to the better land.

He was a member of the M. E. church and remained faithful till death. He enlisted in the Union army July 26, 1862, Co. C, 23 Ohio Vol. And was honorably discharged July 13 1865. He also served in the regular army.

The funeral services in charge of his pastor, Rev. Geo. H. When, were held in the M. E. church at Vernon Dec. 29, and he was buried in the graveyard at Vernon.
