Mrs. Marie Frances Boyer, widow of David W. Boyer, died at the home of her son Oliver Boyer near Farmington, Aug. 12, and was buried from the Baptist church, Farmington, August 14. Mrs. Boyer was 80 years and 9 months and 8 days old, being born in Louden county, Va., Nov. 4, 1811. She was the mother of 16 children, ten of whom are living, and she was the 22nd of a family of 24 children. Deceased was united in marriage to David W. Boyer Nov. 8, 1830, and came to Iowa in 1854. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church 59 years and was always in her place....(clipping is torn and ends)
