Virginia B. Muntz, 57, Fort Madison, died at 10:18 a.m. Monday, May 16, 1988 at her home.

Mrs. Muntz was born Jan 8, 1931 at Bonaparte. She moved from Farmington to Fort Madison in 1976. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Madison.

She was first married to Robert E. Smith, who preceded her in death. On June 8, 1968 in Fort Madison, she was married to Melvin Muntz, who survives.

Also surviving are her parents, Arthur and Nora Wallingford McCracken, Farmington; a son, Kevin Smith, Fort Madison; a daughter, Sherry Smith, Largo, Florida; a sister, Mrs. Carl (Noreen) Schmitt, Farmington; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be held Thursday, May 19, 1988 at 1:30 p.m. At Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

A memorial is being established. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
