Miss J. June Christy, 91, died Tuesday at 4 p.m., at Memorial hospital in Keosauqua, where she had been a patient more than a year.
She was born in Bonaparte November 26, 1868, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Christy and spent her life here. She was employed at a bank a number of years. She was a Presbyterian, a past matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the White Shrine at Keokuk.
Surviving is a brother, Harley Christy of Bonaparte and nieces and nephews.
The service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. Marvin Janssen, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte cemetery. The body is at the Carl Wilson home.
