Mrs. Glenn J. Sanderson, 64, of near Bonaparte, died in Van Buren county Memorial hospital, Keosauqua, at 3 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 1980. She had been il for several years.
Letita Rebecca Pickard, daughter of Charles A. and Margaret Pickard, was born at Stockport, Iowa on Jan. 21, 1896. A life resident of Van Buren county, she was married to Glenn J. Sanderson at Bonaparte on Nov. 25, 1914. She was a member of the Baptist church at Hillsboro, the Order of Eastern Star, the Bonaparte Community Club and was active in community affairs.
Surviving besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Aileen McKinsey, Irvington, Calif., and Mrs. Paul Rinabarger, Downey, Calif., and three grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister also survive; L.H. Pickard, Ft. Madison; Ira Pickard and Mrs. Frank Smart, both of Hillsboro, and Roy E. Pickard, of Bonaparte.
A brother, Guy E. Pickard, died previously, as did two sisters, Vera and Sadie Pickard and one grandchild.
Last rites were conducted at the Bonaparte Baptist church at 2 p.m., Wednesday. Officiating were Rev. Willard Courtney of the Bonaparte Baptist church assisted by the Rev. Charles Grooms of the Hillsboro Baptist church.
Buried in Bonaparte Cemetery.
