Roger B Hornbaker, 89, of Bonaparte, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept 7, 1986, at the Scotland County Hospital, Memphis, Mo.
Born March 23, 1897, at Bonaperte, he was the son of Marion and Mary Finn Hornbaker. He married Nona Story Aug. 27, 1919 at Fairfield.
He was a farmer and a member of the Bonaperte Masonic Lodge No. 73 A.F. & A. M.
Surviving are his wife, Nona, Bonaparte, three sons, Cecil Hornbaker of Keosauqua, Gayle Hornbaker of Minnetoka, Minnesota, Duane Hornbaker of Bonaparte: three daughters, Elaine Burkett of Keosauqua, Mrs. JoAnne (Harry) Baxter of Stronghurst, Ill., and Mrs Caroline Ohlendorf Of Muscatine; one sister, Hazel Hornbaker of Bonaparte; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
The family will recieve friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
Services for Mr Hornbaker will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte.
