Death of David Endersby

Last week we mentioned the death of David Endersby, a young man well known and loved by our citizens. Since that time we have learned the following facts.

Dave, in company with his mother, left in July of last year for Montana, the trip being undertaken in the search of health and since that time encouraging reports have come as to his general health. Later, Dave removed to Yarrow, in the North West Territory, Canada. On the 31st of last month a letter was received by the family stating that he was improving and gaining in flesh and this was followed the next day by a message that he was no more and the sadness of the death brought the grief home doubly to relatives and friends alike.

The body was received at the home near Hillsboro on Tuesday of last week and the funeral services were held from the home on Wednesday at 10 o'clock. Rev. Berkly officiated and delivered a very touching discourse. Many friends were in attendance and the procession which followed the body to the Bales cemetery was a mile long.

David was born on the farm where the last sad rights were consummated and there grew to young manhood, surrounded by environments that shaped his life for usefulness. Naturally studious, he early in life finished his home school and it was then that the father removed to this city where the educational facilities were of the best and David continued his career and graduated with the bright class of '02. His health began to fail ere the last year was finished and although it was not realized then, was beginning of the end.

Dave was 19 years, 6 months and 13 days old at the death and it is seldom that as sad a demise is chronicled. He was an upright, manly young fellow, full of jollity and his genial disposition drew around him a circle of friends who were numbered by the score.

The Bee heartily extends sympathy to the bereaved family
