Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Price, 89 years of age, Milton who died July 25 at the Graybeal Nursing home in Keosauqua after a lengthy illness were conducted Tuesday afternoon, July 28, at the Christian church in Milton. The Rev. Ray Pierson officiated. Interment was in Sunnyside cemetery.

Mrs. Price was born May 27, 1870, near Ottumwa. She spent most of her life on a farm northeast of Milton. She was a member of the Christian church.

On Feb. 1, 1888, she was married to Cyrus Price, who died in 1924. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cleo Madden of Cantril and Mrs. Aneth Burchett and Mrs. Elma Vance of Milton, two sons, J.D. and Craig Price of Milton. A daughter, Mrs. Jessie Robinson and a son Earl Price preceded her in death, as did five brothers and a sister. There are 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
