Wood Fisher was born near Weston, Mo. in 1861, and died at the temporary home in Topeka, Kas., on Tuesday, Dec. 20th, 1904.

The sad tidings conveying the intelligence that Wood Fisher was dead was received at this place last Thursday, and on Friday morning the body arrived. Preparations had been completed for the funeral and the Woodmen in a body met the train and after repairing to Washington Street the procession wonded it way to the M. E. church, where the services were held. Rev. Wehn had charge and in the brief, but impressive sermon he extended consolation to the bereaved family and friends.

Owing to the early hour and short notice not many were present at the services, but enough of the former friends were out to in part testify to the good opinion in which the deceased was held.

The services at the cemetery were in charge of the Woodmen, and they're beautiful ritualistic services were carried out in full.

Deceased while a resident of the city drew to him a large circle of friends, who are now mourning the untimely end. He was an honest worker in the church and Sunday schools of this city, the cessation of which work was caused by his removal to Keokuk, and subsequent ill health.

Mr. Fisher was a beneficiary member of the Keokuk camp of M. W. A. and we are sure that his resignation to death was prompted greatly through the fact that the beloved wife would be taken care of when he was not here to provide for her.

Deceased was united in marriage to Miss Cora Entler some eight years ago and the bereaved wife is now at the home of her mother.

He leaves to mourn his loss, the wife in this city, a grandmother, father and three brothers, Sam, Cye and Orville, of Rushville, Mo., Chas. and Joe and Mrs. May Votan of Topeka, Kas., Wm. of Lake Andes, S. Dakota, Lucy McAlexander of Mayetta, Kas., Georgia Watson of Arkansas City, Ark.

The Bee as well as many friends of the family extend heartfelt sympathy.
