Margaret Ann Luther was born in West Moreland county, Penn., May 8th, 1846, and with her parents, four sisters and one brother emigrated to Iowa in the year 1853, was united in marriage in December 1864, to James Carr who departed this life in March 1905. To this union were born three sons. Frank D. of Des Moines, James Edward of Farmington, and William A. of Philadelphia, Pa, all of whom were present. Besides her three sons she is survived by three granddaughter's Celia M., Kathleen G. and Francis Dee children of Frank D. and two Grandson's Frank William and James Edward Jr., sons of James Edward and by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Haynes and Mrs. Susie Allison both of this place, and two favorite nephews John Young and J. L. Haynes.

Note: John Young was the son of Emily Luther and Conager P. Young. Emily died 8-16-1859 she was 20 years old.
