Notice of Funeral

Unless other arrangements are made, the funeral of Mrs. Walter C. Pipe will be held from the A. Chapman home today. Friends of the family are invited.
---------
Mrs. Walter C. Pipe died at her home in St. Louis Sunday and the remains were received here yesterday. Death was caused by grip and complications.

The home coming of the funeral party was one of the saddest events we have been called on to chronicle. Mrs. Pipe (nee Anna Chapman) was born and raised in Bonaparte and in her short life had gathered to her more friends that often bless the efforts of one short life. She was of a kindly and lovable nature and her splendid traits of character were appreciated and found for her lasting friendships.

It has only been a few months since we had the pleasure of announcing her happy marriage to a good man and we little guessed then that so soon would we be called upon to note the ending of the joyous union. God in his wisdom often touches the heart roughly and it seems that there is no consolation, but the same hand is ready to apply a soothing balm and we ask that He touch the hearts of the grieving ones and alleviate their sufferings.

Should Miss Grace arrive in time the funeral will be held today, from the home which for years rang with her happy laughter and of which home she was the sunlight.

It is with sorrow filled hearts that we offer sympathy.
