Betty Lou Ollon, 68 of Birmingham died June 21, 1989, at Van Buren County Memorial Hosptial in Keosauqua.
She was born Nov. 21, 1920, in Stockport to George W. and Jennie C. Wise Edwards. She graduated from Stockport High School in 1938, and attended Parsons College in Fairfield. She lived in Oskaloosa and Wright before moving to Birmingham. She was a nurse's aide and had worked at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield and Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She married Delbert Ollon on Nov. 25, 1961, in Memphis, Mo. He died in March 1971.
She is survived by a sister, Pauline Crawford of Birmingham.
The service was at 1:30 p.m.
Friday, June 23, 1989 at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham, the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa.
Memorials have been established to American Cancer Society, Birmingham Public Library, or Good Samaritan Care Center in Keosauqua.
