MRS. DAVID CLEMENS

Mary Ann Clemens was born Dec. 13, 1853, and died at her home in Keosauqua Jan 11, 1929, aged 75 years and 29 days.

When a young girl she moved to Iowa from Pittsburg Pa., the place of her birth.

She was united in marriage to David Clemens of Pittsburg, Iowa, Jan. 4, 1876. To this union seven children were born: Miss R. Della, who was called by death in December 1898; Luther died June 1882; John W., May 1911; Mrs. W. R, Davidson died January, 1925; Harley at home; Mrs. P. Rupplinger of Keosauqua and Lynn of Des Moines.

For only a brief period Mrs. Clemens had been afflicted and death released her from further suffering on Friday evening.

Mrs. Clemens united with the Church of Christ early in life. “Here in an inn a stranger dwelt, Here joy and grief by turns she felt;
