Mrs Lewis Fordyce

Tuesday of this week Mrs. Mary Fordyce, wife of the late Hon. Lewis Fordyce, of near Libertyville, was buried by the side of her husband in the old Fordyce family burial ground about midway between Winchester and Utica. She was 90 years of age. Her husband died about three years ago. They were married in 1846 and lived until 1873 on their farm near Winchester, when they moved to near Libertyville in Jefferson County, which was ever afterwards their home. She was a good woman. Five sons survive, Dr. Winfield Fordyce of Fairfield, Thornton and Lewis, on farms near Libertyville, and Harry and Eugene who live on the Pacific Coast. Mrs. Fordyce died Sunday Nov. 14, 1915
