THOMAS R. ALEXANDER
OBITUARY SKETCH.

Thomas R. Alexander died near midnight of Friday, August 19, at his home near Sharon. His wife preceded him to the better land and he leaves a son, David, and a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca McKeehan. Funeral services were held Sunday at 11 o'clock from the Sharon church, Rev. Steele of Mt. Hamill officiating. Deceased was more than seventy-four years of age.

Mr. Alexander was one of the pioneers and good men of Cedar Township, Lee County, and the high esteem in which he was held was shown by the number of his friends present at the last sad rites. The large church was filled and many were unable to get seats.

His son, David R., and family live at the old home and the daughter, Mrs. McKeehan, resides but a short distance away. This good man has finished his life's work but his good deeds live after him.

A quartet from Bonaparte furnished the music.
