VALERIA BELL CRESAP.
OBITUARY SKETCH.

Fourteen weeks ago Mrs. Valeria Cresap fell and received a fracture of the hip. She had been unwell for two years previous to this fall and at that time there was very little hope of her recovery. She lingered and suffered for fourteen weeks until midnight of Sunday, August 14, when she peacefully passed away.

Miss Valeria Bell was born August 6, 1825, and at the time of her death was eight days more than seventy-nine years of age.

She was first married to Charles Keith and to them were born three children, William Keith of Wyoming, Mrs. Ellen Sharp of Bonaparte, and a son who died an infant.

She was again married to Hanson Cresap of Bonaparte and to this union were born four children, Robert N. Cresap and Daniel Cresap of Bonaparte; a daughter, Lou, who died when nineteen years of age; and a son, Price, who died when young in years.

There are also seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren left to mourn the loss of their grandmother.

Mrs. Cresap was among the Bonaparte pioneers having located at this place about 1844. She has for many years been a member of the Adventist church and a student of the bible, her worn and pencil-marked copy of the scriptures being her constant companion and comfort during her declining years.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, from the home at the Sharp Hotel, and will be conducted by Rev. Barber of Libertyville. Interrment [sic] in the Bonaparte cemetery.
