MARY WALKER MCCUNE.
OBITUARY SKETCH.

Mary Walker was born at Cincinnati, Ohio, Oct. 15, 1829, and died at Pierceville, Iowa, July 30, 1904, having reached the age of 74 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

She came to Iowa in the fall of 1850 moving to Van Buren county where she has since lived. In the fall of 1855 she was converted at a camp meeting near Utica and it was then she gave her hand to the M. E. church and remained a constant active member of the same until her death.

On November 26, 1857, she was married to Alexander McCune and to this union were born three daughters, Ella, Etta, and Minnie, all of whom died when they were young ladies.

Mr. McCune died in 1890 and since that time Mrs. McCune has been quite feeble, yet she has never wavered in her Christian experience and was always ready to give a reason for the hope she had within her.

There is only one sister in the father's household remaining and that is Mrs. F. E. Stephens of Farmington. This sister with other relatives and friends are left to mourn her departure.
