Charles McGaffey

Charles McGaffey died on Friday about noon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Evans, at Pittsburg. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Pittsburg, conducted by Rev. J. C. Austin. He was born Dec. 6, 1851, and had reached the advanced age of 84 years.

For years he was engaged in the carpenter trade, for part of which time he was in the employ of A. H. Lane of Henry township. His health had been failing for some time and he had been confined to his home about three weeks.

Surviving members of the family are four children, Mrs. John Evans of Pittsburg, Mrs. Roy Ramsey of Keosauqua, W. C. McGaffey of California, and Stanley McGaffey of Potosi, Wisc.
