for SaturdayFARMINGTON - Arlet L. Lamborn, 59, died at 9 a.m. [at Veteran's Hospital] in Iowa City. He had been in failing health and was seriously ill since November.
Born March 4, 1905, at Green Island, he was the son of William and Emma Brickman Lamborn.
On December 23, 1944, he married Blythe Cleave at Farmington and she survives.
A lifelong resident of the Farmington area, he was affiliated with the Methodist church, a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War II. He worked for Rider nursery for a number of years.
Also surviving are three brothers: Wilbert, Samuel and Kenneth, all of Farmington and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Home for Funerals in Farmington with the Rev. Leroy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Farmington cemetery. The body is at the Miller Home for Funerals.
