Mrs. Carrie H. Channell

Carrie Helen, daughter of David P. and M. E. Houser was born near Bonaparte, July 19, 1897, and departed this life Sept. 5, 1933, at Iowa City, being 36 years, 1 month and 17 days of age.
She was united in marriage with Roy L. Monroe on Oct. 14, 1917 and to this union one child, Ruth Ina, was born. The husband passed away in 1918.
She was again united in marriage with Lewis H. Channell on Dec. 18, 1919. To this union seven children were born: Lena, John, Raymond, Robert, Ralph, Mary, and Joseph. Mrs. Channell is survived by her husband and seven children, Robert having passed away; also by her mother and father, a sister, Mrs. Anna Davis of Bonaparte, and six brothers, William, Rex, Elvan, Ralph, Charles, and Logan, all living in the state of Washington. There are also seven step-children: Leo, Margaret, Thomas, Thelma, William, Dorothy, and Forrest, and three step-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Baptist church at Bonaparte. Funeral services were held at the Pittsburgh church on Thursday morning Sept. 7, Rev. M. E. Hayes officiating. Interment in the Pittsburgh cemetery.
