Gone To His Reward.

Samuel Parsons was born in Croton, Io., Sept. 5, 1850, and came to Bonaparte in the spring of 1895, making this city his home until called away by death. He was a sufferer from palsy and was afflicted for some 33 or 23? [difficult to read] Years. Some four years ago his throat became paralyzed affecting his speech.

Owing to his mother's illness he was taken to Keosauqua and it was there that death came to relieve his sufferings. He was buried at Keosauqua on Tuesday, March 29, Rev. Bell officiating.

He leaves a mother, one brother and a sister to mourn his loss. The father died some thirty years ago.
