Undated with no publishing references. Although this obituary does not mention Van Buren County, I am posting because his wife, Catherine Sullivan died in Farmington.
JOHN W. SULLIVAN
John Wesley Sullivan, son of James and Elizath (sic) Sullivan, was born in West Virginia, June 18, 1852, and died at his home in Clark county, Mo., Jan, 18, 1925 at the age of 72 years and 7 mo. At an early age he came with his parents to Clark county, where he resided until the time of his death.
On Jan. 13, 1877, he was united in marriage to Catherine Enderweisen. To this union was born one daughter, Lizzie. He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife and daughter, 9 grandchildren; and 2 brothers and 3 sisters, namely, Charles of Rosalia, Kans., Harvey of Keokuk, Iowa, David, Mrs. Chas Coffin, Mrs. Jas. Weller and Mrs. Fred Folker of this vicinity. He was one of our oldest settlers, a loving husband and father, a good and kindly neighbor and a true and loyal friend. May he rest in peace.
Funeral services and interment were held at Acasto Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Paul P. jackson of Farmington Congregational Church.
