Sarah Jane Cackley was born in Bentonsport, Iowa, on 15th of February 1847 consequently at her death, which occured on Tuesday, October 21, she was 37 years, 8 months and 6 days old.

She is the daughter and second child of Harvey and Rachel Robb.

She was married to her now bereaved companion on the 15th day of February, 1870. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom still survive, two having preceded their mother to the better land. It was her request that we say to you that she died a believer in Christ. Although she had never manifested her belief to the world, she left the testimony behind her that all was well, and during her last and fatal sickness repeatedly spoke of the hope that she would soon meet her mother in the other and better world.
