Farmington -- Last rites for 78-year-old Charles Becker, who died Wednesday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Shoemaker, will be held at Sharon Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Officiating will be Reverend Edward D. Byrd, pastor of the church, assisted by Reverend Robert Swanson, pastor of the Farmington Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.
Becker was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Becker, and was born in May 1873 near the Old Warren station in Lee County. He was a widower and a retired farmer.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Shoemaker, and a son Ora Becker, both of Farmington, and another daughter, Mrs. Clarence Riley of Stockport. Also surviving are a brother Ed Becker, and a sister, Mrs. Ed Hensel, both of Primrose; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister and several brothers died previously.
