Walter Hunter - Born in Clark Co., Canada May 18, 1842. When young, came with parents to Oxford Co., Canada where he married Mary Jane Smith October 22, 1868. Moved to near Bonaparte same year. Seven children, a son died in infancy. Living children: Iowa and Nelson Hunter; Mrs. Anna Bostock; Mrs. Carrie Van Auken; Mrs. Jennie Huff all of Van Buren Co. and George E. Hunter of San Diego, CA. Died December 12, 1910. Leaves wife, 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 3 sisters. F-Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte.
