Mrs. Emily Williams Smith - Died Orange, CA on March 5, 1914. One of the oldest in Bonaparte, age 82 years, 9 months, 3 days. Emily Williams was born Armstrong Co., PA on June 2, 1831. Grew up there. Married on July 19, 1849 to Ernest Smith. To IA in 1865. Spent a short time in Keokuk, then to Bonaparte. Ten children, 6 died before mother. Three died in infancy. Husband and father died in Bonaparte on April 12, 1876. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
