Andrew J. Beer - Born Keosauqua on January 18, 1857 and died in Vernon Twp. on February 20, 1913, age 56 years, 1 month, 2 days. Parents were John and Mary Beer. Married September 14, 1880 to Miss Emma G. Stevens. Five children: Mrs. Ninnie Aylor; Mrs. Retta Brewster near Keosauqua; and Ora, Willis, Kenneth, the last 3 being at home. Two brothers: Samuel and Benjamin Beer and half brother James Fickey, all of Van Buren Co. A half brother, Wm. Fickey preceded him. His wife died February 7, 1902. F-Center Chapel Cemetery, Keosauqua.
