William C. Wilson - Son of Irvin and Leanna Wilson, born December 17, 1830 being one of 13 children. Came to Van Buren Co. with parents in 1833. Made trip to CA with ox train. In 1854 married Mrs. Martha Jane Woods at Bonaparte. 6 children: U. R. Wilson of Lacon, IL; Mrs. Alice Meredith; Frank Wilson and Mrs. Hannah Sanders of Bonaparte. Wm. of Keokuk and Mrs. Kate Bell who died a few months ago at Keokuk. Two sisters: Mrs. Nancy Baber and Mrs. Hannah Woods, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The mother died about a year ago. In 1862 went to army. Co. A 12th IA Infantry. Since 1903 made his home in Bonaparte. Died January 19, 1914 age 83 years, 1 month, 2 days. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
