Mrs. Mary E. Keck Daugherty - Eldest daughter of Hon. Joseph A. and Ingaha Ebert Keck. Born Utica, IA on February 17, 1854 and died September 7, 1912. Age 58 years, 6 months, 20 days. Married Chas. Edward Daugherty of Mt. Pleasant, IA on December 12, 1871. Three sons were born, their first child, George Talbot died at age 6 months. Those who remain are: William Joseph of Seattle, WA and Bertram Ellsworth of Des Moines, IA. Besides being survived by husband and 2 sons, her parents are living at advanced ages, the father 85 years old. She also leaves 4 sisters: Mrs. Belle Ely of Mt. Pleasant; Lida Jack of Florence, CO; Allie J. Thormly, Seattle, WA; Rose E. Easter of Stockport, IA. Six brothers: Messrs. Hugh G. Keck of Minturn, CO; George O. (C?) Keck of Plainview, TX John H. Keck of Omaha, NE; James E. Keck of Seattle, WA; Robert R Keck of Sioux Falls, SD. Mr. & Mrs. Daugherty lived at Mt Pleasant, Burlington and Des Moines at different times, and 5 years at the Keck home previous to removal to Seattle, WA in July, 1909.
