Mrs. Louisa Jane Daugherty Stull - Born September 12, 1839 in Indiana and was one of 8 children of James and Henrietta Daugherty. When 3 years old came to Keosauqua for 66 years of her life. All members of that pioneer family have passed away except 2 brothers: Benjamin and John Daugherty who live in Keosauqua. Married Francis Stull February 29, 1864 during Civil War when he came home on furlough. For 28 years lived together until he died in 1902. Six children; 2 died in infancy. Until 3 years ago she lived at the Keosauqua home. Her grandson, Howard, died and she gave up her home, moving to Creston where 3 sons: Henry, Benjamin and Fred reside. Oldest child and only daughter, Nannie, came from her home in NY to be with her. Died June 17, 1909.
