Mark Sheppard - From Wyoming, IL. Henry Markel Sheppard died February 7, 1909. Born in Bloomington, IN on October 20, 1847. When 7 he, with parents E. D. Sheppard, and wife went to Keosauqua, Van Buren Co. Married in 1872 at Bentonsport to Miss Susan A. Shepherd who bore him 2 daughters who survive. In 1881 with family moved to Warsaw, IL. Several years ago to Wyoming, IL, the home of his youngest daughter. He leaves his wife, 2 daughters, Miss Mary Sheppard and Mrs. Will J. Foster of Wyoming, IL; a brother, J. M. Sheppard of Ottumwa, IA and 3 sisters: Mrs. Hattie S. Boyle of New Albany, IN; Mrs. Amy L. Wempner of Kansas City, MO, and Mrs. John W. Shepherd of Warsaw, and his brother-in-law, J. W. Shepherd.
