Mrs. Sarah Jane Haney Simmons - Daughter of Jacob & Catharine Haney was born in OH on February 21, 1836 and died at home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Helwig on January 1, 1909. Age 72 years, 10 months, 10 days. Married March 26,1857 to David Simmons. Four children. One daughter, Laura, died on August 4, 1881. The other 3, George V. Simmons of Des Moines; T. L. Simmons of Vernon Prairie and Mrs. Fred Helwig of Bonaparte, along with the husband survive. Leaves 2 brothers, one sister, 6 grandchildren. F-Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte.
