Jennie A., only daughter of Conrad and Sarah Mort, was born near Pittsburg, Iowa, Dec. 9, 1854, and died at the home of her brother James Mort in Milton, Iowa, Nov. 2, 1918, aged 63 years, 10 months and 23 days. With the exception of some time spent in California her home has been in this county, of recent years much of her time being spent in the home of her niece, Mrs. Floy Kerr, who was to Aunt Jennie as a loving daughter.
