OBITUARY

Howard Suit was born October 5, 1890, in Montgomery county, Maryland, and died at his home near Cantril, July 31, 1919, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 26 days. He came with his parents to Iowa in 1876 and settled on a farm near Douds. He was married to Hattie V. Williamson February 24, 1891. To this union was born one son, who died in infancy. Two adopted children, Frank H. Suit, who died in France Feb. 13, 1919, and Emma I. Suit, who was with him at the time of his death.

He and wife continued to reside near Douds until 1904, when they moved to California, returning to Iowa in 1911. They settled on a farm near Cantril.

He leaves to mourn his death his devoted wife and daughter, two brothers and one sister. He became a member of the M. E. church when a young man. He was a regular attendant at all Christian services, always taking a prominent part in the work. He was a liberal and cheerful giver to all worthy causes. He was Sunday school superintendent at the time of his death, having held that office for three years.

Short services were held at the home Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock. Funeral and burial at Mt. Moriah near Douds.
