Mrs. Mary Ann King Meek - Died Thursday, October 24, 1907. Born in County Calway, Ireland on June 23, 1838. Came to US in 1850 to New Orleans. Same month to Van Buren Co. (lived Van Buren Co. 57 years). On November 2, 1856 married Joseph Meek and made him a good wife until death parted them at his death on October 31, 1890. Seven children: Elizabeth St. Borgia of Milwaukee; Mrs. Kate Steberg of Miller, NE; Mrs. Mary Weber of Keokuk; Robert E. Meek of Bonaparte: Margaret Meek, Keokuk; Mrs. Percy Cresup of Ft. Madison and Miss Allie E. Meek who died September 1901. Also leaves 1 sister, Maggie King of Keokuk and Michel King of Sonora, MX (date listed October 26, 1907) Attending funeral were L. C. Meek; R. E. Meek; B. F. Meek; Carl E. Meek; J. A. Johnson; Jno. Cresup. F-Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte.
