George V. Helwig - Born in RheinPhalz, Germany May 4, 1823. To America in 1846, settled in Philadelphia, PA. There he married Miss Catherine Frank on April 15, 1851. Nine children; 6 sons and 3 daughters. Five preceded him in death. To Van Buren Co. IA in 1867. Died June 11, 1905. Leaves wife, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren. 82 years, 1 month, 7 days. F-Hellwig Cemetery, Farmington.
