Died in Keosauqua February 24, 1899, age 72 years, 6 months, 22 days. Born in Hamilton Co., Ohio on August 2, 1826. He came to Iowa in 1854 at Iowaville. In November of 1854 he married Lavina McCullough of Van Buren Co. who died several years ago. They had 8 children, of whom 5 are living. F-Purdom Cemetery, Keosauqua.
