Obituary

Miss Lily Douglass was born near Anson, Clark Co., Mo., June 4, 1881, moved with her parents to Bonaparte, Iowa, in October, 1896, and died March 1, 1897, aged 15 years, 8 months and 27 days.

She was confined to her bed but for a few days, although she has been a sufferer for about two years. She leaves a loving father and mother, one brother and one sister to mourn her loss. She died with a living hope in Jesus.

Her funeral was preached in the Baptist church by Rev. [?]. C. Shepherd from the text recorded in Rev. 4: 1. Her remains were laid away in the Bonaparte cemetery. The bereaved friends have the deepest sympathy of the pastor and members of the Baptist church and a [can't read] other friends.
